Turned pro at 17, played jazz-rock; with Jean-Luc Ponty early '70s; studied at Berklee in USA; joined Pork Pie with Charlie Mariano, pianist Jasper van't Hof (Transitory '74, The Door Is Open '75); recorded with Larry Coryell (duos Twin House '78, Splendid '78, Live! '80 on Atlantic and Elektra), Chet Baker '83; etc. Own LPs: Stream '72 on WB with piano and drums; then Nairam '74--5 on WB with Palle Mikkelborg, September Man '74 and Guitars '75 on Atlantic, Sleep My Love '78 on CMP, all with Mariano, van't Hof, others; Babel '80 on Elektra, with children's voices, some strings, etc; End Of August '82 on WEA with Toots Thielemans, Mariano, others; duo The Viking '83 on Pablo and Spanish Nights '89 on Enja with Niels-Henning ]asO[rsted Pedersen, the latter also with the Royal Copenhagen Chamber Orchestra.
