Records with Basie, Hodges; prolific freelancing and recording with Illinois Jacquet '46, Sir Charles Thompson '53, album Jo Jones Special '55; Henderson reunion album '57, many others. Records under his own name included the Emmett Berry Five '44 with Don Byas, reissued on Savoy LP; and small-group tracks '56 and '59. |
