The Scottish pop group formed '82: Ken McCluskey (b 8 Feb. '62), vocals; David McCluskey (b 13 Jan. '64), drums; Robert Hodgens (b 6 June '59), vocals, guitar; Craig Gannon (b 30 July '66), guitar. Came to prominence on enterprising Postcard label of Glasgow; part of trend back to pure pop away from synthesiser soundalikes. Debut LP Sister '84 a long time coming partly due to litigation with Bluebell Girls of Paris over name, which the group won. Chart entries: "Sugar Bridge', "I'm Falling', "Kath'; LP incl. controversial cover of Dominic Behan's "The Patriot Game', assumed erroneously by some to be a tribute to IRA gunmen. "South Atlantic Way' was comment on '82 Falklands War. "All I Am (Is Loving You)' minor hit '85; incl. old Lee Hays union song "Ballad Of Joe Hill' on other side.
