BLANCHARD, Jack, and Misty Morgan

Country duo of singers/ songwriters, Jack (b 8 May 1941) and Mary Morgan (b 23 May 1945), both from Buffalo NY, married early 1960s, teamed professionally late '60s and had huge hit 'Tennessee Birdwalk' '70; 'Humphrey The Camel' and 'You've Got Your Troubles, I've Got Mine' were hits the same year. The first two also entered the pop charts and album Birds Of A Feather charted. Named vocal duo of the year by Billboard, Cashbox and Record World; they received an ASCAP award and later BMI citations. They never had another year as good as 1970 but remained a popular act with singles and albums in various charts: they also did comedy and TV spots and wrote hits for others; Jack also did a newspaper column and a comic strip.
