STRAWBERRY ALARM CLOCK

USA West Coast psychedelic band which had one massive hit and faded. Guitarist/vocalist Ed King later worked with Lynyrd Skynyrd, then a gospel group; with Randy Seol on drums (reportedly played bongos with his hands on fire), Mark Weitz on keyboards and two bassists (Gary Lovetro and Lee Freeman, who also played guitar, horns etc) they had a no. 1 with flowerpower anthem "Incense And Peppermints' '67, pulling album of that title to no. 11; several other albums with changing personnel quickly sank. CD Anthology on One Way.
