SHADOWS OF KNIGHT

Garage/punk band formed '66 in Chicago: Jim Sohns, vocals; Joe Kelly, lead guitar; Jerry McGeorge, rhythm guitar; Warren Rogers, bass; Tom Schiffour, drums; studio guest "The Hawk' on keyboards were among the most endearing of the genre: amateurs who rehearsed in garages, mostly sacrificing finesse for volume. They signed to Dunwich (Atlantic subsidiary), had four Hot 100 entries '66: "Gloria' was no. 10 copy of Van Morrison's now-classic B-side with Them; "Oh Yeah' made the top 40; by '68 they were on the Kasenetz-Katz subsidiary Team label for top 50 "Shake', though Sohns was the only original member. Reissues on Rhino and One Way; Live In Rockford IL 1972 on Performance.
