LATTIMORE, Harlan

(b '08, Cincinnatti OH) Singer. Mother was an operatic soprano; worked at WLW radio Cincinnatti, had residency in a Chicago theatre, returned to WLW, worked with Don Redman from '32. Columbia records that year issued as Harlan Lattimore and his Connie's Inn Orchestra; subsequent sides (mostly on Brunswick) as Don Redman and his Orchestra. His pleasant, gently swinging light baritone was used as a foil, against Redman's patter on "I Heard', the band's furious swinging on "Tea For Two'; he also sang on "Got The South In My Soul', "That Blue-Eyed Baby From Memphis', etc. Left music after service in WWII.
