Worked with Karl Hoschna (b 16 Aug. 1877, Bohemia; d 22 Dec. '11, NYC) on Madame Sherry '10; wrote The Firefly '23, Rose-Marie '24 with Rudolf Friml, The Desert Song '26 with Sigmund Romberg, Wildflower '23 with Oscar Hammerstein II, music by Herbert Stothart (b 11 Sep. 1885, Milwaukee; d 1 Feb. '49, LA; mus. dir. of many shows, later at MGM; also wrote 'I Wanna Be Loved By You', 'Cuban Love Song', etc; with Vincent Youmans; then with Jerome Kern: Sunny '25, Criss Cross '26, The Cat And The Fiddle '31, Roberta '33; libretto of Lucky '27. Also worked with George Gershwin etc.
