Singer, songwriter and guitarist Paulette Carlson (b 11 Oct. '53, Northfield MN) moved to Nashville '81 and signed as a writer with Oak Ridge Boys' publishing company; songs recorded by Tammy Wynette, Gail Davies; sang back-up for Davies. Signed to RCA '83, had minor country hits, formed Highway 101 '86 as lead singer. Carlson left the band '91 and signed to Capitol with hit "I'll Start With You' and album Love Goes On '92; then marriage and motherhood caused a break in her career.
