Haircut's only LP with Heyward Pelican West '82 incl. all hit tracks, all written by him. He left '82; group carried on with new deal, LP Paint On Paint '83, then split (drummer Blair Cunningham joined Pretenders '86). Heyward made confident, diverting solo LP North Of A Miracle '83, relying on session people (Tim Renwick, Dave Mattacks) instead of contemporaries, incl. "The Day It Rained Forever', "Whistle Down The Wind', blue-eyed soul "Take That Situation'; belated follow-up Postcards From Home '86 was less substantial.
