Called Hans or Hansi as a child; later known as John DiFalco, John Hudson. Performed with group Drahdiwaberl (Spinning Wheel) '80; first single "All Vienna' was cult favourite after being banned because of line "All Vienna is on heroin today'. First album Einzelhaft ("Incarcerated') '81 prod. by Robert Ponger, incl. international hit "Der Kommisar'; Junge Roemer ("Young Romans') '84 written by Falco (lyrics), Ponger (music); Falco 3 '85 prod/written with Dutch brothers Robe and Ferdi Bolland, incl. hit "Rock Me Amadeus'. Signed to WEA International '86, first single was "The Sound of Musik'. "Remix' hits compilation on Sire '92.
