Played revival music with Bunk Johnson, Kid Ory, Doc Evans, etc; with Jack Teagarden '56--60; toured, freelanced; in Europe '71, early '80s. Not an innovative jazzman, but an engaging and affectionate player in the style of his favourites Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton. Music To Listen To Don Ewell By '56, Man Here Plays Fine Piano!
